Meet LaShanta
CPA, Founder & Owner
I’m LaShanta, an accounting extraordinaire with a passion for numbers. After growing up in sunny South Florida, I attended Florida A&M University where I proudly continued a family legacy as a third-generation Rattler. Now, you might think that I was always destined for a career in accounting, but the journey took an unexpected turn. In high school, with dreams of becoming a lawyer, I was all set to pursue Pre-Law in college. However, in a twist of fate, an elective business class during 11th grade transformed everything. The moment when the balance sheet magically balanced ignited a newfound love for accounting, a spark that still burns bright today.
Fast forward...after over 2 decades of working as an accountant in the hospitality industry, I decided to put my passion to work in a new way. That's when Cleared Accounting was born, a place where business owners can untangle their financial maze and use that knowledge to steer their businesses to success.

I was named after Santa Claus. I was born in the seventies where the trend was to name girls with names starting with "La". While pregnant, my parents were riding around looking at holiday decorations and my mom said "Look at that Shanta Claus.."
